PC unexplained shut down

Hi
My PC seems to be shuting itself down and I'm not sure why. My system config is, Athlon 1800XP, Motherboard MSI 6590, 512MB ram, Pioneer A106 DVD Rewriter, MSI DVD Rom, MSI GEforce 4 graphics card, XP Pro.

Even though the windows shuts down, the CPU fan is still going so it would seem power is still getting to the M/B. The doors on the DVD drives will also open.

I've removed some recently added RAM but that makes no difference. The power unit is also fairly new. The problem seems to be when I use either of the DVD drives.

Any help or suggestions appreciated.

Thanks
Hatchet
