PC Tools File Recover

I am having problems with PC Tool File recover I have downloaded it and registered but when I try to use the programme I keep getting a box saying "Drive not ready for use; its door may be open. please check drive A
I use windows 7

Drive A should be Floppy Drive - perhaps you should disable Floppy or Floppy Seek, in the BIOS - though I am not familiar with the inner workings of Win7.

I would take an educated guess that the programs default save to location is set to the floppy drive, somewhere in the program settings this can be changed

I have checked and the progamme is located on drive C

Yes, the program is on C: but have you checked the programs' Default *Save* location, as per TOSH's suggestion - though as he says, this is only a guess!
