my pc switches itself off and then on again,i can
be on the internet,playing games,doing anti-virus
or anti spyware scans.it just switces off and then on again.i have had my pc looked at by two
seperate shops neither could find anything wrong despite them both doing all the checks and tests they could one shop put in a new fan because he thought the processor was overheating and also
a seperate graphics card but the problem still exists.when the pc switches itself on an error
message appears these can vary in information
and the messages arent peculiar to anything the
pc is being used for any ideas?

I would tend to think overheating is probably the cause or perhaps something to do with the power supply. When you say the shop put a new fan in do you mean the one on the processor? If it is the processor that is overheating then what I would do is remove the processor fan, take out the heatsink and processor, clean off all the thermal paste, renew the paste and restart it and see if that cures it.

yes it was the fan on the processor that was replaced

I recently had a customer with the same problem. It was the PC's on/off switch that was dicky. A new case was the cure.
