Hi,

New build, and PC is stuttering on winamp like a (thderrthdderrthdderr sound). The mouse completly pauses too.

Trying a new motherboard today, any suggestions if it's not the board?

I've tested RAM (Corsair RAM) with Memtest86, passed no problems.

Sounds (sorry about that) like a driver problem. Make sure that you have installed the latest driver for your sound card - or motherboard for on-board sound. Mouse problem could also be caused by memory overload due to sound card problem so try to solve this first and see if the mouse works OK.

Latest drivers installed, problem still there. Also new motherboard hasn't solved it.

3000+ AMD Athlon 754, Gigabyte K8VM800M, Seagate SATA HDD and Corsair 512Mb RAM.

Deferred Procedure Call (DPC) spikes, at 50-60 cpu when it happens.

This indicated drivers doesnt it?

Just testing with everything removed, bare essentials, so far seems ok... speak of the devil now hey... actually seems like it could be the onboard network card conflicting with Wireless PCI. :o

It was wireless network card causing the issue.
