PC starts with a folder open

This ought to be simple but I can't fathom it:

Whenever I restart my PC, it starts with ththis folder (C:\WINDOWS\system32) open in Windows Explorer on the desktop.

I've tried the obvious things (I think). Any ideas?

I'm using XP Professional.

Thanks for the reply. The script said it couldn't solve the problem as it couldn't find the necessary registry entry.

I followed the MS advice and couldn't find any incomplete or null "". However, I notice there is no value set for the default, and also what is described as the only necessary value I cannot see.

I'll send you screen shots of the registry entries that do exist and look forward to your thoughts.

Finally resolved this using msconfig and trial and error of suspending various odd looking items
