PC reboots after logo screen but before desktop

All of a sudden, for no reason I am aware of my computer refused to boot up normally.

It worked in safe mode, and I used this with selective start up and found out that the problem is some thing to do with my 'SYSTEM.INI' file.

How do I find out what the problem is? and how do I fix it?

Any guidence you can give me would be appreciated

After the re-boot, does it then boot normally?

If it boots in safe mode but not in normal mode then its usually a driver problem.

Your system.ini looks fine apart from I think something missing.

device=vxd.386

Suggest you update drivers.

Sorry I should have been clear
The computer was in a reboot loop everytime it got past the windows logo but before the desk top loads it just reset.

After using the selective star5t up option and discovering the problem lies within my system.ini file. I disabled that and now my computer boots up fine.

But I don't want to just work around this problem I want to identify it and fix it

oh and fruit bat, at which point in the system.ini file would I place that line or does it not matter?

Untick the box alongside each, one at a time and see which one causes the problem.
