PC Not booting to anything

Hello,

I've just collected my father-in-laws pc as he can't boot it up.

It appears quite serious as upon power up, there are three beeps but then nothing. There doesn't appear to be any HD activity.

There is nothing displayed on the monitor so I can't get in to set up or safe mode.

Is this a potential Bios / Motherboard issue?

HELP.....any ideas how I can move forward?

Thanks,

Steve

A RAM Failure would seem to be in order, but try re-seating it first. It could just have come loose.

Looks possible.

3 Beeps is a memory issue for this Bios.

Have swapped ram around and can now boot.

One of the sticks is obviously faulty.

Thanks,

Steve
