PC / Monitor not going into standby

Most people might treat this one as a blessing in disguise.

My PC/Monitor has stopped going into standby mode when it has not been used for a while.

It worked Ok just a couple of days ago but now the monitor stays on all the time displaying my desktop or whatever I leave on it.

I've tried rebooting/power cycling the monitor to no avail. I would like to restore this feature as I tend to leave my PC on overnight.

Anyone got any ideas ?? I'm running XP Home.

Thanx

choose 'start' -> 'control panel' -> 'power options'

you should then be able to set the power off / hibernate times as you see fit.

click 'apply' when done
