pc looses the correct time and date

When i switch my pc overnight it looses the correct time and date

Its OK if i switch off and back on again in a few mins

Any help would be appreciaed

It sounds like your mobo battery needs replacing, if not your mobo does....TT

You can also try flashing your BIOS, but you will probably find that it is your battery that is not holding your CMOS settings....TT

I have just had the same problem. It was the battery on the motherboard. After you replace the battery remember to reset the time and date in the BIOS setup.

More than likely it is simply your MB battery. Most MB batteries are CR2032 type but check before you buy a new one. I recently purchased from Tesco at £1.99, I think more expensive in PC World, Staples.
