PC Keeps re-booting

I have just installed Norton security 2007 on my PC
Windows XP Pro) when it asked for password to install, I typed it in but it would not accept it.
now although it seems to be installed, The PC boots up to the desktop if you try and start any program, you are lucky if it opens in time before the PC reboots and you start all over again. You cannot check any settings as you don't have time. PC was OK before this. help would be appreciated.

try starting in safe mode usually f8 then uninstall norton

If the problem persists and you cannot get rid of Norton try the removal tool in safe mode click here

You could run Restore back to before you loaded it in Safe Mode
