Yes I am Windows XP but before I have a go at your Repair Install which looks rather daunting for a novice my PC has crached twice more with these new reports

OK, you could try "Last Known Good Configuration" first
To start your computer by using the Last Known Good Configuration feature, follow these steps:
Start your computer and keep tapping the F8 key.
When the Windows Advanced Options menu appears, use the ARROW keys to select Last Known Good Configuration (your most recent settings that worked), and then press ENTER.
If you are running other operating systems on your computer, use the ARROW keys to select Microsoft Windows XP, and then press ENTER

Thank you rawprawn, since using 'Fix it' to optimise my PC it appears to be behaving, however, I will try 'Last Known Good Configuration' if problems start again. Thank you very much for your advice & help.
