PC keeps compressing files

I've noticed that nearly all my files have turned blue,meaning that they've been compressed to save disc space.I'm only using 20% of a 80GB hard drive,why is this happening,and how can i reset all these files quickly without doing them all one by one?It's not just music files etc that this has happened to,but just about every file on the whole pc.Please help.

If you right click on the drive in My Computer check that the "Compress drive to save space" box is not ticked.

Do you use Disk Cleanup? If so, you can turn off the option to compress old files.
