pc to hifi connection

i would like to connect my laptop to my hifi to record my old vinyls. how do i go about this.my hifi is an aiwa about ten years old but going strong.

if you do not have a line out you can get round it by using the line out of the casette deck and run the record deck though that, maplin's will sell you a long lead to get to the PC.

all you need is a phono to phono cable, which will go from, the line out on your hi-fi, to the line in on your laptop.

If there is no line out available, the headphone socket will do the same job.

not quite, the headphone out is not the same as a line out, the quality will be grim,to say the least..
