Ever since the engineer came and replaced 2 fans and my graphics board on tuesday, my pc won't restart without hanging. He replaced my Geforce 3 Ti500 with an MS-starforce GeForce4 Ti 4200(AGP8X) Series (Nvidia GeForce4 Ti4200(AGP8X))

Could it be the graphics driver causing the hanging? I've tried the driver it came with and the latest one on the web site with no difference. Did I get a fair swap?

I'm running windows xp, amd athalon xp1800

have you tried reseting your graphics card,
start by setting it as a standard graphics card
then reinstall the drivers, other than this I would call the engineer back to put right what he has obviuosly put wrong.

Well, it's taken 2.5 years, but I've just cured this.

I was on the Asus website last night and saw the same problem in relation to my motherboard. It was caused by setting the plug and play o/s to yes in the bios. I set it back to no and my pc now restarts.
