My pc is freezing with alarming regularity when I am entering data into a web site or search engine. This only happens when the internet is enabled. I have a Mesh Matrix XP 2200 running windows XP. I have carried out all the self diagnostic tests and everything appears ok. I have also reformatted the hard disk and loaded XP again to no avail.

Any idea's?

trevor47,

boot into bios and check the core voltage. If it is set to default 7.5, turn it up one notch, and try again.

This is a known problem with xp cpu's, and the core voltage with certain psu,s.

Hmmm. If it is only web-access related I would err more towards making sure you have Service Pack 1 for XP, and checking what's running in your Task Manager against click here as recommended by aumha.org.
