pc freezes with adobe acrobat

I hope someone can help me. The problem I have is linked to the woodbine entertainment site. I can access every part of the site without a hitch until I try to access the free programmes portion, and then it invariabley freezes my pc and I have to shut down and reboot, then all works well. I am running adobe 6.0 and have uninstalled and reinstalled both adobe and woodbinentertainment but the problem remains.
Any syggestions welcomed, Thanks,Peter.

I wonder if this could be a windows hanging on to memory problem. Have you tried going directly to the free progs site?

Thanks for your suggestion but unfortunately I have tried going to the free progs. directly to no avail. The only way I can access the free prog. portion of the site is to shut down and reboot, which is a pain.
Thanks again, Peter.
