Hi I have just brought a sony pc1000 dv camera and I am interested in video editing, but my existing pc being a p3 800 processor with 256 ram and 40 gig hd do not seem to be up to the job. I am looking to buy a new pc but what to buy? I have seen a pentium d wiht 2 hard drives 200 gig and 150 gig and 1.5 gig of ram (HP pavilion w5261) basically will this be up to the job of fastish editing or am I barking up the wrong tree.
Please help.

Any up to date machine will do it for you; if you feel competent putting one together I'd suggest a look at Novatech's bundles:

or barebones systems:

Get a unit with a fast processor and plenty of RAM and add a couple of hard disks and you should be ok.

I'm sure that the one you are looking at will do it too.

By the way, the spec I've seen for the above machine says it has only one hard drive.
