I recently changed processors - nothing too technical - except now 5 times out of 6 , PC will not recognize my DVD drive. There was no problem before.
Any ideas please??? (W XP SP2)

Check the leads aren't a bit slack if you haven't already done that, its easy to knock a lead loose when you're upgrading something.

check u have power on it (see if it opens when u press the open button) and check as Totally-braindead said that all leads are in! if u have a spear power plug try changing it with that to balance the load! also if u have only one cd drive make sure the link is at master! or if u have two make sure one is master and one is slave

What do you mean balance the load LivEvil I've never heard of that, if the tray opens and there is power then there is power, I don't see what difference changing leads will do.
