My PC died on me the other week , and I'm now trying to buy a fan to see if it will work long enough to get some info of my harddrive. I have just bought a new PC so can anyone tell me how I can transfer the info. I did a back up onto disc's can't recover them . So any help would be appreciated.

the easiest thing to do is put your old hard drive in the new pc as a slave. This will allow you to copy everything to your new one or even to keep the drive as a back up for your new one.
