PC constantly searches empty drives

  peterjelliott 17:23 10 Sep 04

I'm running XP Pro with Office Pro 2002 and Mailwasher Pro.

Whenever I check for email (Mailwasher Pro is set to do this every 10 mins) the PC seems to try and search an empty drive - I'm not sure which but it's noisy and it's literally as though, for some reason, one of the drives is being accessed - although there's nothing in it.

Any ideas as to why it's happening and how I can stop it please?

Try removing the Mailwasher accounts and putting them back on again - it may be a glitch somewhere there.

Tried deleting and re-creating accounts in Mailwasher but problem still persists.

Seems to be more of a problem when doing a send/receive from Outlook after filtering out the trash in Mailwasher.

Any further ideas gratefully received!
