PC-cillin 7.5 Anti Virus update locks up PC

  williamj 20:01 15 Apr 06

I'm using Win 98 2nd Edition, and after downloading the latest update of PC-cillin the PC locks up.
To allow the PC boot to the desktop all references to PC-cillin in start up have to be un-ticked, from Safe Mode.
Any attempt to run PC-cillin causes the PC to freeze.
PC-cillin do not answer my e-mails, and I cannot contact them via their program as the PC locks up.
Has anyone experienced this problem?

Have you tried disabling Pc-cillin, uninstalling it then re-installing.

Thanks VoG,
Yes I did do an uninstall and reinstall when the freezing of the PC first occured.
The problem has repeated itself twice. i.e. after a download/update the PC locks up.
