PC Choice

I have a choice between these two computers. I can have either at no cost. I will be using them mostly to do some serious gaming and online gaming (using Broadband so modem not an issue). Also I will be installing Windows 2000 on which ever one I get.

Please help.

I would have to say you would not be able to do much
gaming on either. You would probably be best to go
for the one that has the best upgrade options. Have
a look at the m/boards number and see what each one
supports. I would say that you would need at least
256MB, 500MHz and an early GeForce2 or ATI
equivelant. Of the two I would probably be tempted
by the first one, XPS, as long as it does not have
integrated graphics. The reason for this is that
it sound slightly more modern and so will have more
of a chance to be upgradeable.

Few laptops are any good for gaming.
