PC card slots..laptop ??

hi, my laptop has two card slots, the network card is in the top slot, but i need to put it into the bottom slot, so thati can put a usb2 card in the top, can someone tell me, if i take it out and move it down would it just carry on working....

It should be fine to move the PCMCIA Cards about whilst the computer is off.

However i have found, whilst using USB ports, that if i move a device from one port to another then my OS (Operating System) would automatically reinstall the driver.
If your Network card stops working then reinstall the driver for it & all should be well.

hi, thanks, but that was my worry, i never set it up in the first place, it was done by remote assitance, mind you, i did spend a couple of weeks trying....should it all go down the kermit i will regret for ever touching it.

nice one....i built up the courage, took the card out, switched the laptop on, and lo and behold it all worked..........
