Passwords/release codes not working

Having purchased soft ware, I am having trouble to get the release code to work,
Also account password with an online retailer no longer works nor a reassigned one.
Is there any evidence that a ‘bug’ may be at work here?

(1) passwords are normally case sensitive

(2) Maybe your keyboard is either faulty or configured incorrectly, so what you actually entered are not what you want to enter, for example, you will get things wrong if your keyboard is configured as US keyboard.

For the account login problem. Some sites require Cookie or Active X. It may not work if you switch them off (or blocked by firewall program).

For software relase code, are there any count in the step up (or link to software maker's server) which calculate the number of installation. Some software use this method to control the number of time you can install the software. If this is the case, you need to contact software producer to get new code.
