Password requirement when booting XP Pro

I am the only one who uses my computer and therefore I do not need password protection.
Is it possible to by-pass the password screen which appears when XP is loading?

Just go to change password and in the enter new password box, hit enter, giving you a blank password.

If you are using XP, go to Control Panel/ User Accounts/Change an account/Click administrator/Click create a password/Type your current password into the first box/ Leave the others blank/Click Create password. Problem solved.

Hello rawprawn,

I have carried out your instructions but I still do not by-pass the password screen.

Start, Run, type in

control userpasswords2

and click OK.

Untick "Users must enter a user name and password..."
