Password request on thunderbird log-in

  tristar 18:15 08 Sep 08

I'm running XP(Home) with Thunderbird v
In the last couple of days, whenever I open Thunderbird I get a panel requesting my password. I fill in the password, tick the password manager 'remember' box and click OK
I get a message saying login failed BT/Yahoo doesn't respond - but if I ignore it and click cancel everything works. It's a minor niggle, but if anyone can tell me how to avoid this request I'd be grateful!!

Can't say that I know what's happening here but if you go into Tools/Options/Privacy and select the "Edit Saved Password" button you get the option to show saved passwords and also to remove them. If you delete anything there and start again that might solve the problem. :{

Thank you, csqwared, I found a corrupted password and reinstated it, all seems Ok now.
