I have been trying to open an old yet very important word document. When I try I get "Incorrect Password or invalid path". Once and once only I got "File is corrupted".I have tried to find some trial software but all the trial stuff won't go to 6 characters.Does anyone know of a trial program that A. Lets a techno cripple like me work itB. Covers up to six charactersC. The software actually worksI am in need of this file but funds are very tight at this point, otherwise I would have paid to have it done. Can anyone help on a one off occasion as I have taken steps to ensure a repeat can never happen.Cheers.GREG.
Is the file on your hard drive?
If no one can suggest a free alternative (I don't know of any, off-hand) and the file isn't corrupt, or confidential, I have a program (not a crack program) that is excellent at finding passwords on Word documents. You can email to me if you wish.
A way arround it but use a copy of the file not the origonal click here or click here You can get a free Hex Editor online.Or so it seems use Open Office.
