Password protecting my Desktop

I would like to password protect desktop background on my pc so nobody can remove/change it. I have encrypted the file but you can still change it in control panel. Any help very much appreciated. The pc is running XP Pro.

In XP you can set up user accounts. This means that no matter what your desktop is the next time you log in the desktop will still be there.

To set up user accounts you need to be logged in as Administrator. Then go to Start/Control Panel/User Accounts and follow the wizard.

Then to make sure no one can make a change whilst you are logged in but away set the screensaver to a low time and check the box on resume, password protect. Now you will have to enter your password again when you resume from the screensaver.
