Password protecting a folder

I want to password protect a folder so I can store letters without having to password protect each document. I am running W98. Can anyone tell me how?

not that familiar with win98 sorry but i think a third party app is may be required to do this with 98.

try something like click here

there is also a policy editor(which i know nothing about) in the following folder on your windows 98 disc which may do the job.

I've just given Lock Folder 5.0 a try and so far so good. Very simple to use, after installation it asks for a password and after that just right click on the folder you want password protect and choose 'Lock Folder' from the menu.

One thing I've found with Lock Folder 5.0 is that a locked folder or a folder containing the locked folder cannot be moved, copied, deleted etc. The folder has to be unlocked before it can be processed.
