Password probs

Hi there all

I did a stuped thing the other day and forgot my screen saver password n now when in the screensaver I have to reboot neway around dis because you cant turn it off without the password!and for future reference is there any way to get out of the screensaver without using the correct password??

Try these:-

click here


or if you are comfortable editing the registry, then follow the steps below.


(1) click start\run

(2) type "regedit" (without the "")

(3) find the registry key HKEY_USERS\.Default\Control Panel\desktop

(4) delete the "ScreenSave_Data" parameter.



that should sort it out for you (according to click here)


NB: REMEMBER TO BACKUP THE REGISTRY BEFORE CHANGING IT!

If you have followed the instructions from fitshase, you will have found your screensaver password. So if it happens again, just follow the same guide. Or change your password to one you can remember/remove it, or go into your controls and stop screensaver from coming on. j.
