Password problem - uninstall program Quicken 2000

  AFoxyLady 07:59 07 Aug 07

Hi have quicken deluxe 2000 installed on my computer. I used it regularly for a while, but have not used it now for a couple of years. For the life of me I cannot open any of the files to start again, as it asks for my password. I have tried un-installing the program, and installing it again, but there must be some hidden files.

I normally only have a few passwords that I use, but none of them are working.

Can anyone help?

I would like to be able to start again with a clean slate!

Many thanks

Hi, download and run SIW, then look at Secrets in left-hand column, any passwords should then show up.

I have managed to set up another set of accounts by calling it another name - Can't remember exactly how I have done it!(And it was ony an hour ago!) But it works, and I have now written my password down! Can't access any of the other qdata files, but not bothered about that now.

Many thanks for the help from both of you.

OK, thanks for the feedback. SIW is a very useful tool to have anyway, tells you just about everything about your computer.
