Password finding

  Bald Eagle 10:11 17 Oct 08

Running Vista Home Basic. About 6 months ago I signed on to my Doctor's website for renewing prescriptions on line. I was issued with a numerical user name and numerical password. Both were issued at random by their computer. Somewhere I have hard copy but cannot find it! When I access the Doc's site I can see my user name but the "remembered by Vista" password is a row of asterisks. Before I do something to my computer and lose this password can someone point me towards a (preferably free) program that will uncover this password? The Doc's staff tell me they have no way of resupplying it.

click here is another very useful program, passwords are shown under the Keys icon after clicking on the Configuration tab in the left-hand column.

If you're using Firefox try Tools, Options, Security tab, Saved Passwords.
