I have bought an Aldi medion 500gb external usb hard drive (am quite pleased with it) but would like to put a password protection on it so that it will only open when a password is used. It doesnt say anything about how to do this in the manual with the drive, only says something about "partioning programs" and to use windows disk management tool, will it be possible to install a password by using this programme?? There is also something about "formatting the drive" but I think this is really DELETING everything. I think my Buffallo external drive has a password protection set up when its first plugged in. What do you think?? its a Medion 500gb model MD90170, thanks PCDIMWIT
