Does anyone know if it is possible to Password [rotect a complete folder in Windows explorer?

I know you can protect documents from within the Tools Menu, but to protect a complete folder would be a great advantage.

Scouse it depends on your operating system.. Windows Xp works like this, Right-click the file or folder that you want to encrypt, and then click Properties.
On the General tab, click Advanced.
Select the Encrypt contents to secure data check box.

Windows ME will allow you to create a compressed file which you can the password protect.

There are utilities to allow you to do it. Do a search in the PCA downloads section or on ZDNET

I am using XP but the advanced options only offer "compress" option.

I will search the downloads and, if required, ZDnet.

Interesting that you only have compress as XP pro certainly has the option of encryption it will Specify that the contents of the folder can be encrypted. Only the user who encrypts the folder can access the content.
