by passing passwords

having read a recent thred about by passing administrator passwords does this mean that you cannot really protect your computer from people who want to see your information or even from theft if someone stole the pc etc i no my administrator password and have one on start up but now dont feel to protected

If you boot into Safe Mode, you can log in with Windows XP's default Administrator Account. If this wasn't password protected when XP was originally installed and hasn't subsequently been given a password, it will allow you to reset passwords for the other Accounts.

If you give this default Administrator Account a password, and all other Accounts have passwords, the PC will not be accessible without knowing one of the passwords.
