Hi Folks

Does anybody know if you can partition a hard drive by using recovery disk?

A friend has a Time computer with XP on a recovery it, he has would like to partition his 120gb hard drive.

Also would he has partitioned the hard drive will the recovery disk revert it back to a single partition.

Any information Appriciated

You cant use a standard recovery disk to partition a drive. You will need one of the below programs (there are obviously others)

BootIT NG click here
Partition Magic click here
Partition Commander click here
Ranish Partition Manager click here

You will need to ensure you leave the tiny partition that the reload disk will use alone.
