i am reinstalling vista on a dell inspiron because there were unknown problems with the O.S. so i've decided to reinstall. I have the original disc and i've used Killdisc to completely erase data on the drive.I now need to know how to create partitions on this drive and format it to NTFS because the vista program does not do this like xp used to

ive also tried to create the partitions with an xp disc, but it says "setup ca't find any hdd running on this computer. I know its ok because killdisc has erased the data on this drive
