Is there a quick and pain free way to create and edit partitions?

Ive used Partition Magic before but no longer have the software for it, im running Windows XP Professional.

Short of buying a copy of Partition Magic, there was a full (earlier) version of Adonis with the June number of P C World (magazine, not the shop)

A brand new disk can be partitioned using either the disk manufacturers software or usinf FDisk, both of these are done before the installation of an OS.

An existing single partition disk can only be repartitioned by the use of software similar to Partition Magic (8 to use on XP).

If the disk is already partitioned in any way then partitioning can be changed by the Administrative Tools > Computer Management tool built into XP.

Do not try to use an earlier version of PM than PM8 though although PM7 will work to an extent....

So only use version 8 or above preferably
