I recently completed a clean install of XP onto and whilst doing so I partitioned 40GB as my C drive but the remaining 200GB does not register on my PC. Can anyone shed any light on this and explain how I can get access to this missing storage please

Right click my computer > manage > disk management. The extra space should be to the right of the C drive as unallocated. Right click it and pick make new partition. Then follow the wizard.

Thanks G.O.G. All done and formatting nicely. Might take a while though...

You did not put a tick in the quick format box, did you :-(

Make sure you do next time and it will format 200GB in around 60 seconds. lol

Hi GOG thanks for your help. I tried to tick the box several times and have just ticked it now. I will press the post response button at the bottom again but having done this this before it may not work again.
