Is it possible to remove a partition in my hard drive (200gb drive. c drive only reads as 3.4gb, the rest as the e drive)without reformatting & reinstalling windows?
Otherwise how can I instruct any new programs to install to the e drive by default?

You can use something like PArtition MAgic - costs about £30 but excellent value.

Ranis PArtition Manager will also id.

3.4gb s much too small.

Patition magic can do it. Or any progs should give the option of which drive to install on.

BTW you setup is good, with os on small partition, and data + progs on other.

thanks guys.
...would there be a problem if I cut & pasted the 'my documents' folder to the e drive, or do I have to alter the settings elsewhere in order to have the e drive seleced as the default for docs etc..?

Right click on my documents and tell it where to store data. It will then moveit all for you.

Simple when you think about it. Much like me!
Thanks Diodorus & Michelle.
