partition not got a letter - can I add one?

Windows XP Home: I have just (yesterday) done a nice clean install of Win XP Home, I made a partition 25gb on a 40gb hard drive.

I called it C:

Unfortunately I did not then create a partition for the remaining space (I forgot), therefore my os thinks it doesn't exist. Is there any way to rectify this without reinstalling everthing again?

PS I do not have any partitioning software and can't afford it at present! So if this is required then does anyone know of free download's or trials?

try typing diskmgmt.msc in the run box and see if you can rht click in the disc window to give it a drive letter.
