installed partition magic 8 on my other computer.
restarted computer, when screen comes on it asks to insert partition m8 floppy disc 1 press any key to continue. It goes through the motions then asks to insert disk 2 press any key to continue
it then comes up with command or filename not recognised.
Is the partition magic disk 2 floppy not copied the data properly.
Wouild i type anything after the A:\>
for my computer to show my desktop or do i need a bootup disk.
I have windows 98 with xp upgrade.
If i need a startup disc which one would i need im not sure which one is right.

Something is certainly strange here. When you install PM8, you will be offered the opportunity be asked to insert a floppy disk to create a bootup set, but you would not be asked to insert a PM8 boot disk as a matter of course. It seems to me that, for some reason, your PC is no longer seeing the OS. Is your HD OK? You may have to wipe your HD and reinstall your OS.

pm8 did offer me to create a bootup disk which used 2 floppys, but as i said disc 1 goes through the motions but when i insert disk 2 it says command or filename not recognised.
Then the A:\> appears.
Im sure my hardrive is ok.
if the worst comes to the worst, how do i wipe my hardrive.
