Partition Magic 4

ive just bought a new computer in which has 120 Gb hardisc, but ive only got PM 4, i thought that it would not be able to support that volume as i thought the maximum was about 8 Gb, but my friend thinks it may be able to do it, any ideas?

I seem to recall 120gb support came in with PM7 and PM8 took it up to 160gb.

So far as I'm aware, if your platform will see the full HDD, so will PM4. However, I strongly advise you to upgrade - this is a very old, and not particularly stable, version, and you should be able to pick up PM7 from Ebay very reasonably.
PM4 is probably quite safe if you are just creating new partitions, but, if you've got lots of data and files to move around, be a bit careful, and back-up your important bits first.

re comment from leo49 - I think you'll find that's partition sizes, not HDD sizes.

I stand corrected. :o)

my PM7.0 box says; NEW! Partition drives as large as 80GB.

i think amazon have PM8.0 for £25 though.
