In error, using the XP partitioning utility, I have partitioned the wrong drive.

Can I get the data back?

I suggest only by using data recovery software, do NOT use your computer. When I had a similar mishap, I went to a local computer company and they charged by the hour.

click here This will get your Partition back with no problems.

And click here As a guide of how to use it.

Rob_25_Wales does this work on ntfs because your how to guide describes FAT32

  RobCharles1981 14:11 25 Mar 07

This will work on anything man trust me.

Thank you for your replies.

What happened was that, using the XP installation CD, I removed the partition on my D drive when I meant to partition the C drive to reinstall XP.

Now, the computer does not recognise the D drive which is where all my information was stored.

Have you had a go of using Testdisk??

  freddie911boot 17:05 25 Mar 07

Thank you (Rob_25_Wales) very much.

It worked totally easily and everything is back!
