In error, using the XP partitioning utility, I have partitioned the wrong drive. Can I get the data back?
I suggest only by using data recovery software, do NOT use your computer. When I had a similar mishap, I went to a local computer company and they charged by the hour.
click hereclick hereLittle confused, you say deleted a partition then created a partition on the wrong drive ?
click here This will get your Partition back with no problems. And click here As a guide of how to use it.
click here - you could try that and see if it gets it back.
Rob_25_Wales does this work on ntfs because your how to guide describes FAT32
This will work on anything man trust me.
Thank you for your replies. What happened was that, using the XP installation CD, I removed the partition on my D drive when I meant to partition the C drive to reinstall XP.Now, the computer does not recognise the D drive which is where all my information was stored.
Have you had a go of using Testdisk??
Thank you (Rob_25_Wales) very much.It worked totally easily and everything is back!
