Partioning HDD Tool

Hi I have decided to partioning my hard drive to keep the os on one part and everything else on another. A friedns gave me a copy of partion magic 8.0 but it doesnt run on vista so does anyone know a free partioning tool. Thanks Alan

I haven't got Vista, but from what I have read, the built in Vista Disk Management tool can perform this task:

Try Ranish, it is free, but I'm not certain whether it can handle Vista.

I'm not sure about all versions of Vista but in the business version you can shrink a volume and create a new volume in the space created.
Its prbably a good idea to defrag first as I don't think this actually moves data around.

I'd strongly advise that whatever you use you back up any important data first as its very easy to make mistakes - been there, done that :)
