Paragon Hard Disk Manager Does not work with Vista

Says it works with Vista but even if I run it as Admin it shows an error message and won't run Unknown Windows version DPMI error. I bought the magazine especially for this program and it says Vista is supported Help!

BTW before I install Does Paragon Drive Backup Express work?

Work's for me, but apparently, you can only backup and not restore!

"you can only backup and not restore" makes it somewhat useless then or have I missed the point?

  crosstrainer 15:43 26 Feb 08

Nope, if you want to restore, you buy the package, I tried this out last weekend, backs up fine, but won't restore unless purchased. Seems a lot of people are having problems with it under Vista anyway.

Better with Acronis Drive Image then or buy a Seagate drive and use their free Acronis software.

Yes, I use an external USB drive, only tried the Paragon software because it was on the DVD and people were having problems installing it. With 3 PC's at home, and my laptop the 500GB external drive is ideal.
