Paragon Hard disc Crasher

  juniorsplat 16:49 24 Feb 07

I recently bought a acer 5100 laptop and for some reason the Hard drive came with a partition. One partition had files in and the other was empty. Using the Paragon Partition manager I attepted to merge these two partitions - a safer way I thought than just deleting one and hoping for the best. When I applied settings something was using the C:/ drive so I did it on boot up. During this procees, after copying files from one to the other, it crashed during "creating a partition". Now, when I turn on the laptop it will not boot into windows and just displays a blank screen.
As the computer is new I have not changed much, so do not mind loosing any settings.
Am happy to give any more details if necessary.

Time to use your recovery disc.

I couldn't boot anything from the discs I was made to burn.

I think you have either corrupted or deleted Windows and drivers and need a complete reinstal.Perhaps see if Acer can help.

I have had bad experiences with acer and would prefer to leave them out if possible?

Will it be possible to use a different OS?

The disks that you burned are they recovery discs? What happens when you run them, does the drive try to read them?
