This keeps happening on a Windows XP Pro system. Last Known Good option sorts it until the next reboot....

Anyone know what it means??

Hi. Thanks for that but alas all my searches end at the second of those two pages.

The swap file was fixed size and then i let Windows control it. For a few boots it was fine but now...

From what I can find on Google and click here this can be down to faulty RAM, anti-virus (Norton mentioned a lot) and drivers but I'm sure you've found that out as well. It seems it's a tricky error to get to the bottom of - good luck.
