Packard Bell ISTART 1370 - System Recovery

Trying to resurrect this for a friend.

I can see the Recovery partition, but cannot initiate System Recovery - F11 at startup or shutdown has no effect. There are no Recovery CDs.

I have done a clean install of XP Home, but some things are missing, Sound drivers and Standby option, for instance.

How can I invoke System Recovery?

Have you tried Microsoft's Knowledge Base, Graham?

Or the free-to-register Packard Bell forums at click here? Not everything gets an answer, but I think some are from P.B. people. They ask for computer details including serial number (if at all possible) to be included in questions.

You should have made a recovery CD.

Boot with Cd in drive and press F11 for different recovery options.
