packard bell with asus p4r800 vm crashing!

Hi i have a packard bell (dont know what model) with an asus p4r800 vm standard motherboard, aprart from the 2 gb ram. It keeps crashing (or restarting itself) everytime i go to install something or play a game for instance. I am sure that adding extra ram would not cause this to happen, as i have done it to my laptop and previous pc's so does any one know what my problem could be and how to fix it, Thanks.

Do you get a blue screen? Read this click here and follow the steps to prevent the machine restarting before you can read the message. Note the stop code and any filenames.

no blue screen just a restart basically just a black screen lol

Do a memory test; click here

Do a disk check; click here

The memtest guide is a bit old but the methods are still the same

As above it may be faulty Ram, Take it out and put it back to as it was. See if it then Crashes
